An Evening of Festive Hometown Fun!
December 1, 2018
Christmas Parade 3:00 pm
Twilight Tour 4:00-7:30 pm
Concerning the weather forecast! The show will go on!
But we are going to make a few adjustments due to the good chance of rain.
The Christmas parade will start as planned at 3:00. Depending on the participants it may be shorter than usual. We will start Twilight Tour after that, 4:00-7:30 as planned. However, vendors will be setting up in the old bank building at the corner of West Main and Caldwell. We will decorate and put up lights to make it a festive area.
Photos with Santa will go on in the Aethelwold along with the Elf workshop. Music will still go on at the gazebo as planned. If it is really bad we plan to use the DFR room for music. Crafts and S’mores and more at the Water Oak Suites will go as planned under the covered walk. S’Mores at Rocky’s will go on, though that is up to them. Carriage rides (with a covered carriage) will still go on. Caroling from shop to shop will still go on. The train is covered so that is planned to go on. The ponies and petting zoo will not be there. Most businesses that planned to be open will be. The lighting of the tree and the reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas will go on.
I understand this may not be the ideal set up but folks coming to the festival should be able to come take part and enjoy being a little drier.
