White Squirrel Festival 2021 Event UPDATE

In light of the gathering restrictions put into place by Governor Cooper, and after careful consideration for the health and safety of our community we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 White Squirrel Festival.

We are excited to announce our upcoming Third Arts in March Event, March 27-28. See more information below.

The health and safety of our community is our highest priority, so we will continue to monitor the situation and determine the best strategies moving forward in light of this ever changing and dynamic situation.

Thank you and stay safe and well.

3rd Annual Arts in March  –  March 27, 10am-5pm, March 28, 12-4pm

Arts in March, celebrating local arts and culture in downtown Brevard, will be held on March 27-28!After a hiatus in 2020 due to COVID-19, the annual event returns for its third year.

Along with gallery open houses, special offers at downtown businesses and artist demonstrations, this year’s event will incorporate local musical acts as part of the programming. Local musicians will perform downtown at The Plaza on Broad Street and at the House on Main Event Space throughout the day.

Arts in March will celebrate the completion of the crosswalk mural installation located at Broad Street and West Jordan Street. This creative crosswalk designed by local artist Billy Smith depicts brook trout swimming beneath broken pavement and will provide a lively gateway to the Jordan Street District.

This year’s event includes the inaugural youth sidewalk chalk showcase on West Jordan Street from 10am-4pm. Local youth artists will create a sidewalk art using the theme, “Spring in Bloom” as inspiration.
